George is one of the partners of TSF. His areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity fundraising, and real estate transactions, with a focus on cross-border structuring and strategic corporate advisory.

 

He acts for a diverse range of multinational corporations, venture capital firms, founders and growth-stage businesses across industries such as mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, healthcare and education, and regularly advises on investments, restructurings and operational partnerships in both domestic and cross-border settings.


George also heads the firm’s real estate practice, advising on real estate acquisitions and disposals allowing him to provide integrated legal support on both corporate and real estate-driven transactions.

WORK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Advised a Tokyo-listed company, on its RM145 million acquisition of a leading Malaysian cybersecurity firm. This included conducting the legal due diligence process and negotiating the key transactional documents, including the share sale and purchase agreement.
  • Advised one of Malaysia’s leading venture capital firm, as lead investor in a USD10.28 million Series B fundraising round for a health-tech company. The transaction involved subscribing to Series B redeemable convertible preference shares, alongside other notable venture capital investors.
  • Facilitated a cross-border joint venture for a Malaysian pharmaceutical manufacturer with one of China’s largest fish oil producers, resulting in the establishment of a manufacturing and production facility in Semenyih, Selangor.
  • Advised a key player in the oil and gas and renewable energy sector on a collaboration to deliver solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and related services to end-clients. This included reviewing and negotiating the EPCC contract and establishing contractual safeguards around preventive maintenance, performance guarantees, and service level agreements.
  • Provided strategic legal advice to a Malaysian entity holding the exclusive distributorship for a Japanese automotive brand, following the RM5.8 billion acquisition of its Malaysian listed parent company by another listed entity. The scope included assessing ownership exposure, operational impact, and long-term distributorship risk.
